Sangeh Monkey Temple (Pura Bukit Sari) is located on Sangeh village, about 20 km north of Denpasar. The temple is surrounded by tall nutmeg trees. Many monkeys roam the surrounding forest. The monkeys of the forest are believed to be sacred and indeed will approach anyone paying respects at the temple.
